Application Support Developer

Job Title:         Application Support Developer

Summary:

Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems with the organization’s computer applications. Develops solutions and resolving issues with critical business applications. Manages the helpdesk problem tracking system. Creates detailed reports using SQL queries from RDBMS. Assists with new release testing and creates documentation for enhancements. Performs duties to support the business continuity plan, including monitoring backups to insure data integrity.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Associates degree in computer science or a related field.

• Fundamental knowledge of SQL. Experience with Visual Basic, Visual C, C# or Powerbuilder.

• Basic programming/scripting skills.

• 1 -3 years of previous application support experience in a multi-application environment.

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong client focus and genuine desire to assist end-users and resolve problems.

• Methodical and disciplined approach to problem solving

• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
