Peer-To-Peer Recognition

If your employees were asked to name the best aspects of working for your company, do you know what they would say? Aflac conducted a 2017 Happiness Report, which surveyed employees of small businesses, and tells us the answer. Being rewarded for their hard work, as well as being recognized by peers were reported as some of the best parts of working for their company.  How does your company stack up in the rewards and recognition department?

One way to build up your recognition program is to create an environment where people feel comfortable in recognizing all the good that is happening daily in the office. Fostering camaraderie makes it much easier and more pleasant for employees to recognize each other. Building teamwork is a great way to establish those relationships with and among your employees. Peer-to-peer recognition programs should be consistent and easy to use. This will encourage people to utilize them. Did you know that there’s a platform for that?

While the traditional methods of peer-to-peer recognition, such as sticky notes and “kudos” boards, are great additions to any program, the world continues to grow both digitally and socially. Recognition platforms through Marketing Innovators lend themselves to just that. The ease of use makes our platforms excellent tools for tracking recognition. Why is tracking important? It can help drive your employee engagement and keep them motivated to perform. Many employees report that it is motivating to visually see their progress and where they are being recognized.

Don’t be afraid to ask what is motivating to your employees. Your recognition programs will only be successful if they resonate with the people they are working to recognize. We are here and happy to help.
